Alec Baldwin, full name Alexander Rae Baldwin III is an American actor, born on April 3, 1958 in Amityville, New York. One of his most famous roles is as Jack Ryan in 1990's The Hunt for Red October. He also starred as Lt. Colonel Nicholas Kudrow in 1998's Mercury Rising, in which his character is killed near the end.
